About Me
Janet Melvin, MSN.ED, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a dual Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of combined clinical and advanced nursing experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Arizona State University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix (FNP, 10 years), and a post-master’s certification in Psychiatric Mental Health from Maryville University (PMHNP, 5 years).
Education and Experience
Janet’s career spans diverse settings, including primary care, post-acute and long-term care, and private practice. She provides compassionate care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients, guided by a holistic philosophy that integrates evidence-based treatment from a Christ-centered heart that blends natural and lifestyle-oriented solutions.

Her mission is to help patients restore emotional, mental, and physical balance in their lives through individualized, respectful, and culturally sensitive care.
Passions
In addition to her clinical work, Janet is a passionate educator. She has taught at the university level and continues to serve as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students, committed to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Janet plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Nursing with a focus on healthcare education to further expand her impact on the field.
